Experience a fascinating hike that takes you past impressive waterfalls, historical sites and picturesque paths. The Cascata Candalla with its two impressive waterfalls is a true natural spectacle. The Sleeping Beauty trail takes you into an enchanting landscape, along a river accompanied by a waterfall and to ancient ruins. The Chiesa di San Biagio, a historic church, perfectly rounds off this journey through history and nature.

The Via Francigena, also known as the Franconian Road or Franconian Way, is the name given to the old long-distance roads that pilgrims used on their way from the Franconian Empire or from England via the territory of the Franconian Empire to Rome to the burial place of the apostles Peter and Paul. Today’s reconstruction of the Via Francigena is essentially based on information provided by Archbishop Sigerich of Canterbury, who made a pilgrimage to Rome in 990.
You start in Pietrasanta and make the pilgrimage to Camaiore. If you still have enough energy, you can continue along the pilgrims‘ path.

You start inland from the hotel. The route first takes you through rural areas and olive groves before the ascent to Monte Gabberi begins. The ascent is moderately difficult and rewards you with fantastic views of the sea, the Versilia coastline and the Apuan Alps. Along the way, there are shady sections through pine forests, which are pleasant on hot days.
